Privacy Policy

Mockup Studio is built so that we need to know very little about you. This page says what we keep, why, and what you can do about it.

What never reaches us

Your recordings, screenshots, app icons, captions, projects and exports. The studio processes them in your browser and keeps them in your browser's own storage on your computer. We cannot see them, and they are not on our servers.

What we keep

• Your account: your email address, the date you signed up, and your password as an Argon2 hash (we cannot read the password itself).
• Your sessions: a hash of the random token in your sign-in cookie, and when it expires.
• Your plan: what Polar tells us about your subscription: its status, renewal or end date, and Polar's ids for you and the subscription. We never see your card details.

Your IP address is used briefly, in memory, to slow down password guessing, and is passed to Polar at checkout so it can work out tax. Our hosting provider may keep it in short-lived server logs.

Cookies and storage

We set one cookie, ms_session, which keeps you signed in. It is needed for the service to work, so there is no cookie banner. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies or scripts. The studio stores your projects and recordings in your browser (localStorage and IndexedDB); clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.

Who else handles data

• Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record, for checkout, payments, invoices and tax. See Polar's privacy policy.
• Our email provider, to send password reset mail to your address.
• Our hosting provider, which runs the server and its database.

We do not sell or share your data with anyone else.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. Deleting your account (on your account page) removes your email, password hash, sessions and subscription records from our database straight away. Polar keeps its own payment records as the law requires.

Your rights

You can see, correct, export or delete your data. Most of it is on your account page; for anything else, write to support@mockappstudio.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and email account holders.
